Hard Rock Hotel eyes downtown Nashville

 

A group of real estate investors is under contract to buy land in the SoBro part of downtown Nashville a location where a Hard Rock Hotel might be built. The group has a total of 1.16 acres under contract, among three pieces of land, including a parking lot that spans the length of Korean Veterans Boulevard between First and Second avenues south. Downtown code permits development of up to 30 stories on property fronting that road. The investor group looking to buy the land includes Rob Lowe, who is a senior managing director at the real estate brokerage firm DTZ (formerly named Cassidy Turley). Lowe declined comment for this story. According to multiple real estate sources, Hard Rock is evaluating prospects in downtown and has shown interest in this particular location.
